Last Saturday Miri took a couple of free introductory classes at the Arkansas Skatium. The first class was "Learning to Skate" which was goes in the direction of figure skating and was pretty busy. Miri just loves drums. Whenever we're at the music store she wants to play with them and whenever we're at Mimi & Popop's she wants to play with her Mom's drums that are still in Stef's old room. And as you can see in the video here she loves to play with her Mom's electronic drum kit. In this video she's giving us all a drum lesson and ends it with "That is how you do it, ok?" :)J

This last Saturday was fun as we decided on a whim to hop in the car and take I66 to where it crosses the Appalachian Trail to go for a short hike. This was Miri's first time in the backpack carrier on a real hiking trail and for the most part she enjoyed it! It was a little uncomfortable for her at first because I had managed to get one of her legs trapped under her butt in the harness.
